About IASA Malaysia Business Technology Architecture Awards 2022

Digital Transformation and Digital Customer Experience have often appeared in strategic agenda of business transformation strategies for many top organisations in recent years.

Enterprise Architecture (EA) has become a key enabler for this agenda, supporting continuous and sustainable digital transformation journey.

The IASA Malaysia Business Technology Architecture Awards recognises organisations which have successfully established EA as a culture in driving business transformation and key technology innovation adoption to fulfill the organisations’ strategic objectives.

Objectives:

  • Recognise organisations with excellent EA establishments, practice and culture in driving business transformation and key technology innovation

This category recognises organisations which have successfully established and adopted EA as a culture to drive the organisation’s Digital Transformation.This category recognises organisations which have successfully adopted EA to enhance and improve the organisation’s Digital Customer Experience objectives

Submission Guidelines

•Submission documents must not exceed 8000 words and written in Microsoft Word Format with a maximum file size of 25MB.

•Submissions can be done by (i) the nominated organisation, or (ii) jointly by the organisation and consulting partners who performed or contributed to the work. For joint submission, a letter of authorisation which states that the nominated organisation has explicitly agreed to the arrangement must be attached to the nomination document in the submission

•Submission closes on 9 September 2022, 5PM.

IASA Malaysia Business Technology Architecture Awards Judging and Assessment

The IASA Malaysia Business Technology Awards follow a three-Tier approach to determine the winners. Each submission will be evaluated by the Awards Judging Committee which includes EA Industry Experts. All shortlisted nominations will be assessed by a panel of judges from IASA® APAC and IASA® Global which will then be tabled to the IASA Malaysia Executive Committee for approval.

Awards Judging Committee

  • Assess and review shortlisted nominations
  • Perform scoring and tabulate results

IASA Malaysia Executive Committee

Q: Do I have to pay to submit a nomination for the IASA Malaysia Business Technology Architecture Awards?

Answer: No payment fee is required to submit a nomination for the IASA Malaysia Business Technology Architecture Awards.

Q: Do I need to do anything else besides filling out and submitting the nomination form?

Answer: No, IASA Malaysia will inform you should there be a need to provide additional information or supporting documents for your submission.

Q: Can I submit nominations for more than one award category?

Answer: Yes, you can submit and participate in multiple award categories.

Q: Can a Malaysia registered company submit the nomination when EA is not implemented by Malaysia registered company?

Answer: Yes,  if the organisation that implemented the EA is either the parent or subsidiary company of Malaysia registered company.

Q: Can vendors or consultants submit nominations for their clients?

Answer: Yes, but a letter of authorisation by the client must be attached to the completed submission document.

Q: Will the information in the nomination submission be handled as confidential information? Will my company/organisation be informed if any information is used?

Answer: Yes, all information will be treated strictly confidential as per PDPA. IASA Malaysia will seek your approval before publishing any information.

Q: How do I know if my submission is submitted successfully?

Answer: You will receive a confirmation email upon your submission.

Q: Will there be an extension of the submission deadline?

Answer: Any extensions will be announced on the IASA APAC webpage.

Q: How are the winners selected?

Answer: A three-tier approach of judging and assessment is used to select the winners. You may refer to the Judging & Assessment section for more details.

Q: Will there be any follow-up articles on the winners’ submission?

Answer: IASA Malaysia will publish a summary of the winners’ submissions with commentaries on the reasons they win.

Q: Will there be an Awards ceremony?

Answer: Yes, the award ceremony will be on 20 October 2022.

Q: Can I win the IASA Malaysia Business Technology Architecture Awards two years in a row?

Answer: You can participate and win two years in a row but for a different category.

Q: Will I be notified if my submission does not win?

Answer: IASA Malaysia will announce the final outcomes via communication platforms. No separate emails will be sent to the participating companies unless they have been shortlisted or have won.

Q: How do I find out why my nomination is not selected for the Award?

Answer: IASA Malaysia will not provide individual explanations on why a nomination did not get selected.
